President, August 2011 – Present

Kafei Interactive Inc. is the new name for web development services previously provided by Ryan Weal, Granola Systems, and now Groupe Rutagi.  Michele Anne Jenkins continues to work with us as an Information Architecture consultant and from time to time and as our backup database guru.

Please visit the Kafei Interactive website to find out more about what we do.

Le Groupe Rutagi, Montréal QC
Drupal Developer, December 2009 – Present

I provide programming and system administration duties here. Much of my work is focused around streamlining the Drupal user registration process, managing event registrations, pre-filling forms with available data, integrating software with third party systems and more. I also fulfill systems administration duties on Linux-based hosts.

Granola Systems, Vancouver BC
Freelance Drupal Web Consulting, September 2008 – August 2011

I work with small business and non-profit organizations who need Drupal websites. I manage the design process, implement the templates, provide integration of modules for editors to self-manage the site and I automate administrative tasks for clients who are hosted on my web server.

My clients include an eCommerce store, some self-publishers, a dental clinic and more.

Katanamite Interactive, Surrey BC
Drupal Developer, May 2009 – December 2009

For Katanamite I worked on a number of projects implementing views, upgrading sites from Drupal 5 to Drupal 6 and migrating custom modules to Drupal 6. For one client I reworked the Drupal registration system allowing moderators to approve users after they have opened an account, thus preventing robots from using spam accounts and simplifying the sign-up process for legitimate users.

Davis LLP, Vancouver BC
Marketing Coordinator, February 2007 – August 2008

At Davis I worked on a small but nimble marketing team.  We launched a new website with aggressive timelines and a limited budget. We later extended the site to support proposal generation and automation of common requests that were fielded by the marketing team.  This was all part of a much larger re-branding process at the firm.

My work also included managing the corporate intranet, creating business proposals, updating biographies, publishing newsletters, creating advertisements and managing photography.

Intrawest ULC - Leisure Travel Group, Vancouver BC
Business Systems Analyst / Front-end Web Support, November 2004 – February 2007

I worked at the head office supporting the official websites for Whistler-Blackcomb, Mont Tremblant, Copper Colorado and many other destination ski resorts.

My work was focused on website implementations, change requests and resolving bugs for internal stakeholders. This was a cross-departmental role working roughly 20 Internet marketers in remote offices across North America.

Other tasks at Intrawest included training staff on web systems, documenting best practices and monitoring marketing systems which included Omniture SiteCatalyst, a Google Search Appliance, a corporate graphics library run on software by Interwoven.
